GREETINGS FROM WACO BARBELL

Waco Barbell is Waco’s first and only traditional weightlifting gym sanctioned by USAW focusing on the sport of weightlifting. All skill levels and ages are welcome from youth (10+) to masters. We only employ USAW certified coaches and all are experienced coaches who are ready to help our lifters be safe, have fun, get strong and improve technique. We believe in building an atmosphere and community of helping others succeed and have fun while lifting! Good Vibes Only!

MEMBERSHIPS

We have 2 team membership types. First option is $100 for unlimited in person or remote coaching, programming, video editing, and meet prep/coaching. Option 2 is $30 a month for college students which meet For practice 3x a week on specific days/times.

MOBILITY

Mobility and flexibility in certain positions is key to performing the lifts safely. If you are lacking the mobility to achieve a position we will help you  increase mobility where needed.

TRADITIONAL WEIGHTLIFTING

We are a traditional weightlifting gym, focusing on improving 2 lifts, the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk. Our team has competitive lifters, and people just trying to get strong, fit and have fun. Don’t hesitate to start today! First 2 sessions including a 1 on 1 intro/assessment are free!

Use one of our coaches as you begin a journey to increase mobility, get stronger and healthier. Olympic Weightlifting is a sport suitable for everyone at any kind of fitness level. It is an excellent training program, taking advantage of the body’s natural movements. Don’t hesitate to start today!

ACCESSORY WORK

Everyday we also do some sort of accessory work to improve the lifts, improve general strength, cardiovascular health and longevity in sport.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

College students (with prof of enrollment) memberships are only $30 a month and the first 2 weeks are FREE! Come check out Olympic weightlifting and see if it’s the sport/club for you. Practice times for students are Tuesday and Thursday at 6am and one day on the weekend (days/times will fluctuate).

PRACTICE TIMES

Practice can vary, but is normally Monday, Wednesday and Friday 5am, and Tuesday through Friday 3:45-6:00pm and Saturdays 9:30am (unless we are hosting an event or at a meet). For details text number provided.
